I am my only God

Here is some random shitz, outfits and some pictures I've been taking around

The Fall of Man

"Jesus endured hours of torture, Roman style. Flogged by the cat of nine tails, blindfolded and beaten, spit on, struck in the face, lacerated on nearly every part of his body. The prophet Isaiah spoke well when he declared that his face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.

The crown is said to be made from the branches of a Jujube tree, a deciduous tree found near Jerusalem, with thorns measuring an inch long or more. And with each blow to the head, the reed repeatedly drove the thorns into his flesh with excruciating pain.

Thorns were a product of the fall of man, a consequence of the entrance of sin into the world."

SUPREME-LATENESS-APOLOGIZE-POST

Not to say that people expect me to post anything because I know no one even knows me here, but I kind of feel bad for not dedicating myself to this blog that much, I really don't want it to be a failed project, damn it!

So this post is going to be huge, full of what has been going on in my life since... well, since Christmas holidays I guess - and I know I didn't even wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I had a photo of me being a super Christmas spirit supporter and all for you but with the whole family here I just didn't get the time to do so I am sorrryyyy please don't hate my guts. Ok, so without further adue, here is my fucking blog since Christmas and up until now (just pretend like I haven't been absent this whole time, it's much more fun, I promise):

~(Late) MERRY CHRISTMAS!~
Do you like my super guetto fabulouz Christmas e-card?
I hope you all had the most joyful, happy and White Christmas (<amazing song), or any other celebration that you may have had during this time of the year. I spend some days on my country's capital, Lisbon, during my holiday, so that I could go visit all the galleries and museums around town which had some marvellous exhibits - some of them with exclusive pieces of extreme value.
The one I liked the most, BY FAR, was the Still Life exhibit at the Gulbenkian Museum. Being addicted to Art History the way I am, you can imagine how I felt when original masterpieces signed by great names such as Van Gogh, Degas, Renoir, Picasso, Duchamp, Delacroix, Matisse, Monet or Cézanne appeared just a few centimetres away from my eyes. Suffice to say that the security guy warned me about crossing the red tape on the floor repetitively and stared at me awkwardly multiple times, probably wondering why I was staring at the paintings for so long, with tears in my eyes.
Sadly, pictures could not be taken, but here are some of the pieces I saw:

Picasso

Delacroix

Cézanne

Matisse

Van Gogh

So these last ones, the contemporary pieces, are by the amazing brazilian artist Vik Muniz, who creates his works out of material like chocolate, ketchup, diamonds, trash and meticulously cut out paper, so that was pretty much enough for me to want to slit my wrists because I'll never achieve that level of brilliance in my entire life, god dammit.

I went to see other kick ass exhibits and my legs were fucking raped every single day from the excessive walking. But it was all worth it though, specially the dinner I had with my uncle and aunt and my two closest cousins, the one in which we all ended up eating some delicious food in a teeny-tiny restaurant in Lisbon's Bairro Alto, accompanied by some Margueritas, Sangria, Wine and Mojitos - yes, we are cool and super drunk like that. Sexay.

Here are some of my favourite pictures that I took from the mini-trip, most of them you'll find might fit quite well in a cyber-goth-90's-minimalistic blog - fuck yes to all these words:

Jeff Koons

This take on Delacroix's painting by Vik Muniz is made out of caramel - insane

This is made out of sugar, fo real tho

Me in a chapel with my name, so fab

I felt like Lana Del Rey in there, just stunning

ILLUMINATI

To end this excruciating post for you all, I'll just tell you one more thing:
I have braceeesss
I know it's not cool or exciting, but after feeling so self-conscious about my gaped front teeth for my whole life, it feels so amazing to finally look at the mirror and see the progressive change in my smile. Even though it hurt like hell in the beginning, it's fine now and I kinda like the metal on me, it makes me want to start exploring the cyber-goth thing a lot more.
Well, I'll be posting a lot more soon, anything from just random shit to another film "review" or even some D.I.Y's I've been working on.

Love you (world...I guess?)
X
